Volunteer Organizations

The Friends of Victory Lakes Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to protecting its lakes and its wildlife.  We have regular volunteer opportunities for events, communications, maintenance and support.  Click here for some.  We also have some ideas to help revitalize our community and make this a great place for our neighbors and visitors.  If you are looking for a special volunteer project opportunity, please consider donating your time to our organization.  Here are some current ideas:

  • Pavillion at Magnolia Park
  • Building of Information Signs in our Community – One currently in planning as an Eagle Scout Project, more are needed!
  • Bench restoration project – revitalize benches by our lakeside property – power wash, paint – One completed as part of a Daisy troop project
  • Landscaping of a community hall available for member and non-member rental
  • Construction of walking paths around our lakeside community
  • Environmental and regulatory research for lake maintenance
  • Experimentation with lily pad and built out debris removal strategies
  • Restoration of beach at Magnolia Park, 5th Street Dam and Sunset Beach
  • Restoration of George Ruch Community Center
  • Construction of deck and concession window restoration at George Ruch Community Center
  • Restoration of recreational areas at George Ruch Community Center – baseball, soccer and basketball fields / courts.
  • Restoration of driveway at George Ruch Community Center
